It Starts with a Splash

I can’t see past all the bubbles

Then my head brakes the surface

Remember to steer clear of others

I look down

It’s dark

Endlessly blue

The unknown

It’s scary

No

Exiting

Both maybe

We’re engulfed

Far below

The ground starts to form

A blanket

Ever changing

With movement

Life

So many colours

Mixing

Blending

Dancing

It’s pleasant

But not quite comfortable

Never comfortable

We reach a wall

Follow it down

Never going too far

For fear of being swallowed

The great wide open

Tempts

Beckons us

To explore

The unknown

Expose the mystery

It would be so easy to sink

Allow it to swallow us

Whole

But we stay

Diligent

Observers

Never more

Evermore

And then our time is up

Soon

Too Soon
